A: Cancer insurance is a health insurance policy specifically designed to provide coverage in the event that the insured is diagnosed with cancer. It pays a lump sum benefit upon the first diagnosis of cancer, and also offers additional benefits for treatments such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and follow-up diagnostic tests.
Cancer insurance differs from general health insurance in that it focuses solely on cancer, which is a disease with high treatment costs and long recovery periods. Having MSIG Cancer Fix insurance helps patients access the best possible treatment without worrying about expenses, while also reducing the financial burden on their families.
A: For MSIG Cancer Fix cancer insurance, applicants are not required to undergo a medical examination before applying. They only need to answer health questions and meet the company’s underwriting criteria.
A: Once the company has paid 20% of the cancer sum insured for skin cancer, coverage for skin cancer will terminate. The insured cannot extend skin cancer coverage further. However, coverage for other major cancers remains in force.
At the same time, if benefits for a major cancer have already been paid, coverage for other cancer-related benefits such as follow-up diagnostic tests, chemotherapy, and/or radiotherapy will continue to remain valid.
A: Yes, claims can be made if chemotherapy began before the policy expiration date. However, if chemotherapy is performed after the policy has expired, claims cannot be made.
