A: Inland Cargo Insurance provides coverage for goods transported within the country by any mode of transportation—whether by land, sea, or air. It protects against damage, loss, or risks that may occur during the transit of goods throughout Thailand.

 

A: MSIG Inland Cargo Insurance covers damage or loss of goods resulting from various incidents, such as transportation vehicle accidents, overturning, fire, explosion, water damage, and mishandling during loading or unloading. For shipments by sea, coverage also includes certain expenses and liabilities such as General Average Contribution and marine salvage operations.

 

A: Businesses that regularly transport goods—such as manufacturers, domestic importers/exporters, and even online retailers—are encouraged to obtain this insurance to protect the value of their goods against unforeseen events during transit.

 

A: MSIG aims to process claims for Inland Cargo Insurance within 15 business days upon receiving complete documentation from the insured. The review period may vary depending on the type of damage and the complexity of the documentation. In some cases, the processing time may be extended but will not exceed 90 days. Policyholders can track the status of their claims 24/7 via the MSIG Claim Tracking system available on the website.
