Hero Let the Dream Come True Project

The project “Hero: Let the Dream Come True” is organised for young boys in the 5 southern-most provinces of Thailand (Satun, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat) to help them achieve their football aspirations and dreams. In April 2017, MSIG Thailand sponsored travel insurance (sum insured totaling 10 million baht) and sportswear for all 25 children participating in the program, who had the rare opportunity to practice football with Manchester United Football Club in the United Kingdom.

These 25 outstanding young Muslim boys are students aged 12 years and below. They come mainly from families affected by violence involving Muslim separatists operating in the border areas of Malaysia.

Adul Malinphan, President of the Dreaming Love programme initiated the project to render support to these young students to become successful footballers in their own right. Values such as teamwork, discipline and unity would be inculcated in their young minds while training in the sport, where they would also later set a positive example to the fellow younger generations in the 5 southern provinces and keep turn them away from undesirable vices such as drugs.
