Remark:
- Item 1: Includes medical expenses in Thailand in case of temporarily return within 90 days (must return to study), with limit not exceeding 200,000 Baht. This is applicable only if the policy period is for one year or more.
- Item 3 : Includes transportation, accommodation and food up to maximum 5,000 Baht per day or maximum 50,000 Baht per occurrence.
- Item 5, 6 : Emergency Medical Evacuation or Repatriation and Repatriation of Mortal Remains are under the same limit. If it is discovered that the Insured suffers from an injury or sickness or loss of life from a pre-existing condition, then the Company shall provide cover under these Insuring Agreements combined and in total not exceeding 5 % of the sum insured specified in the Schedule (which is considered as part of the sum insured of item 5. Emergency Medical Evacuation and Repatriation and item 6. Repatriation of Mortal Remains)- Any one Occurrence and any one Policy Period.

For Medical and Travel Assistance
A: Travelers must purchase insurance at least 2 hours before departure from Thailand and the insurance cover will continue until 2 hours after returning to Thailand or at the insurance policy expiry date whichever comes first. However, the Insured cannot purchase insurance after departing Thailand and the Insured’s trip must begin from Thailand and end in Thailand only.
A: Such cover is provided by the insurance policy with period of insurance of over 12 months only under which the Insured shall be covered for medical expense for accident and sickness not exceeding 200,000 baht for medical treatment within 90 days from the date of return to Thailand for home visit.
A: The Insured can notify the Company to request extension of insurance period for one more year subject to such notification is made and the Company agrees to the extension before the policy expiry date. However, the Company reserves the right to adjust premium or adjust terms and conditions of the insurance based on the claim history of the Insured.
A: Yes, as additional benefits. “Overseas Student” Insurance Plan provides cover not only for medical expense but also provides other benefits such as loss of tuition fee, travelling (including flight and accommodation) for parents to visit student if hospitalized overseas, loss or damage to baggage and/or personal effects while travelling on public transportation, flight delay and 24/7 emergency assistance service worldwide.

A: The normal time period for considering claims when MSIG receives all the necessary complete documents is usually within 15 days.
